Arcadia Raiders Youth Night
For the past three years, we’ve had the incredible opportunity to partner with the Arcadia Boys Basketball team to design a poster of their Varsity squad. Each year, this project holds a special place in my heart, and I look forward to it with great excitement. The poster is handed out during their annual Youth Night, an event where the younger players get the chance to interact with the Varsity team and feel the energy of the season. It’s a wonderful tradition, and being a part of it through design is truly an honor.
Designing this poster is more than just creating an image—it's about capturing the spirit of the team and the excitement of the season. I always enjoy adding little hidden details throughout the design, creating something that invites discovery with each new look. It’s those small touches that make the piece feel personal and unique.
On the front of the poster, where it says “RAIDERS,” I’ve overlaid game images featuring the starting lineup. This subtle yet impactful detail encourages viewers to take a closer look, adding an extra layer of depth to the design. Not only does it create visual interest, but it also adds texture to the red in the “RAIDERS” text, preventing it from feeling flat and making the design more dynamic.
As we wrap up another successful year, I’m grateful for the chance to continue this collaboration with the Arcadia Boys Basketball team. It’s always inspiring to be part of something that brings the community together and helps showcase the pride and energy of the team. I can’t wait to see what next year’s design will bring, and I encourage everyone to take a closer look at the poster to see what hidden gems you can find!
